phase I
discovery and strategy

Our five-phase process begins with gathering information, analyzing your goals and objectives, and your competitive landscape. We determine the opportunities to set you apart from your competition.

We develop a profile of your target audience, and come up with the most compelling reasons for them to visit your site, spend time there, and of course, return.

Next, we create a project plan, set up the budget, create schedules, set up the staging area and prepare your creative brief.

When we’ve done all that, we can create strategic alternatives that are the springboard for great ideas. With those ideas, we can communicate in a way that is meaningful and memorable.










phase II
developing site structure

Once we have agreed upon an overall strategy and direction, we work to establish the framework for the site from a functional, creative, and technical perspective. This framework will serve as the roadmap for all design, technical, and production efforts during the development phase. It is in this phase that we determine what information must be communicated, and what information we want to capture from site visitors.










phase III
visual design & testing

We seek to distill the campaign to its essence: What single idea will resonate with the audience and inspire response, and integrate the core messages with the visual personality of your site. We discuss several design options specifying content, functionality, navigation, and the overall look and feel of the site.










phase IV
production

After you approve a prototype design for your project, we create the graphical and technical elements for it. This is when it all comes together. The behind-the-scenes components breathe life into the information your site communicates. Documents are translated into actual live pages. All functionality is built and tested.









phase V
launch & beyond

Once the site is launched, we continue testing and monitoring efforts to make sure it all runs smoothly. Maui Pacific Design does not believe in the "build and forget" approach. We work with you to continually evolve to meet the needs of your customers and your business objectives.
